SUMMARY Anderson .Paak just signed to Dr. Dre's label Aftermath, so we had to take a deeper look at this young artist. It is always hard to call someone a rapper who doesn't necessarily "rap" in their songs but is rather capable of doing so. Paak brings a soothing voice with some softer beats for his die hard fans. It's hard not to like this upcoming style of hip hop, as we have seen by Bryson Tiller and Tory Lanez. Rather, Anderson .Paak brings a jazzy flow we have seen on Kendrick Lamar's "To Pimp A Butterfly". As weird as it sounds, Anderson .Paak's album cover on Malibu describes his flow to a tee. Every song captures a piano flow that gives the album the same vibe throughout the entire project. Anderson starts out with "The Bird" and gives us a preview of everything he is capable of doing in one song. This song sets the tone for the rest of the album as we get crowd sound effects to add to the effect of his smooth flow. In "The Season / Carry Me," Paak shows us a great soothing song for any average rap listener or his casual fans. He plays two songs that give the track a sensational feeling as it transitions from "The Season" to "Carry Me". In "Am I Wrong", Paak brings ScHoolBoy Q on the track to add to the mind boggling effect the album has for it's flow. ScHoolBoy on a Jazzy tune just doesn't sound right, but man does Anderson Paak have a way with his producing to make it work. ScHoolBoy brings his casual voice, a flow we haven't seen from him on any of his projects. Rapsody hops on the track "Without You" to bring a sweet tune to her flow. The Game jumps on "Room In Here" to bring a sweet flow alongside Paak. Paak brings a harder beat on "The Dreamer" to please all hip hop fans. All in all, we can see what Dre is looking forward to after signing him to his label and we cannot wait for Paak's upcoming album now that he is officialy teamed up with the Doctor.
