SUMMARY Bas's hottest and latest album "Too High To Riot" hit the stores last Friday. This projects complexity and style are hot, here is our breakdown of the project. The queens emcee displayed a variety of versatility and text book writing in this latest sophomore album. The Dreamville signee starts off this colorful project with the self named intro. this intro is soft tone compliments Bas distinct voice rhyming about issues like toxic friendships, reparations for African-Americans, loss of loved ones and police brutality. More hot tracks like "Methylone," and "Housewives" display Bas's ability in exquisite writing ability that goes from verse to chorus. Bas brings on Cozz for his track "Dopamine" where they visit there drug fantasy and their adventures and experiences with dope and other drugs which have influenced him in his childhood as well as his come up. "Live For" a track similar in style to his affiliate J. Cole comes up with discussion as he explains his sacrifice of his family and friends for his success. From a production stand point, Bas is aware as whats best for him and can always stay true to his songs. Most tracks aquire a catchy moody backround with some dope effects to emphasis his rhyme's. "Night Job" seems to be the hottest track with a relaxed tone and good vocals. accompanied by J. Cole the two go back and forth as Bas depicts his come up and drugs, while Cole depicts getting Bassy out the corner and into the rap scene. "Too High To Riot" Bassy's sophomore album is definitely his best work yet and clearly he's making a name for himself instead of "J. Cole's shadow." The album's smoothness and rhyme scheme shows the potential of Bas's carreer as we move toward the future.
