The brilliant minds behind the label of Coalmine Records have been growing in popularity rapidly this 2017. Packed with a stellar team of popular beatsmiths like Nottz, Ayatollah, Khrysis, M-Phazes to shining light on some new comer disc spinners like Thelonioius Martin, J57, Small Professor, Coalmine has put together it’s first compliation album of their greatest beats Beats, Mines and Life: An Instrumental Journey.

Packed with 14 tracks, producers like  Nottz, Ayatollah, M-Phazes, and Khrysis. Also featured are the underground stalwarts like DJ Concept, Max I Million, J57, Small Professor, and Thelonious Martin, all of whom are cementing their place in the Hip-Hop world.

Featuring some background beats from previous popular tracks include M-Phazes’ 2012 beat for Blu’s single, “Kiss The Sky,” as well as the fan favorite eerie track “Midnight Madness” from Heltah Skeltah’s 2011 EP. Showering some light on the growing sounds from Thelonius Martin, the tape features his fan favorite track “They Don’t Know” off his 2017 release Molotov LP with Saga.

Showing refrence to thier idols and influencers A Tribe Called Quest, the name Beats, Mines and Life: An Instrumental Journey, derives from the classic 1996 LP, Beats, Rhymes & Life, and a tribute to the life and art of the late Phife Dawg.
