Black Panther: The Album brings on features from Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, Travis Scott, Swae Lee, Khalid, and a ton more.
With a ton of anticipation for Marvel’s Black Panther movie coming out on February 16th, we’ve got word that the entire soundtrack is curated by TDE’s Kendrick Lamar and Anthony Tiffith. In the previous months, we received the drop of Kendrick and SZA’s “All The Stars” in anticipation for the full album.
Kendrick’s music video for “LOVE.” sparked rumors of his doing with Marvel’s movie, and the rumors became true. It is great to see a powerhouse label fully contributing to a movie soundtrack, and it has the fans on edge for a full fledged hip hop album to accommodate the movie.
The full features include Vince Staples, Kendrick himself, SZA, Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, ScHoolboy Q, The Weeknd, Swae Lee, Travis Scott, Khalid, 2 Chainz, Jorja Smith, SOB x RBE, James Blake, Future, Saudi, Zacari, Babes Wodumo, Mozzy, SJAVA, and Reason. Fortunately, the album is set to drop before the movie releasing on February 9th. A TDE curated album sounds stellar, and we can expect to see numbers on this album. Peep the full tracklist below, along with Kendrick’s official announcement.
