Currensy’s boom-bap nature and Statik Selektah’s oldschool production was sure to put a collab project into fruition, and today that’s exactly what we get. The two just get it in terms of chemistry, so why not put together a full on album.
They share a very unique, yet common sound, where Statik Selekt can flawlessly accommodate Spitta’s energy. Each of the 10 tracks brings something new to the table, and the lowrider advocate might have some of his best content to date. They even grab features from Wiz Khalifa, YBN Cordae, Jadakiss, and more.
We’re still banking on a pure solo effort from Curren$y, which we can expect at some point this year (along with many other projects). Take a listen to his and Statik’s newest bop above.
