Is Drake stealing XXXTENTACION’s flow?
Just before we get hit with Drake’s next project More Life on February 26th, Drizzy is finishing his “Boy Meets World” Tour in Europe. Stopping over in Amsterdam, Drake had a special preview of a new track featured on ML performed at the show. Fans immediately struck out going on to say that the new Drake snippet was biting off new Florida rapper XXXTENTACION’s song “Look At Me.” Before we go any further stream both the snippet & song below and see if you can pick out any similarities.
Although the audio quality from the concert is rough, it’s still pretty obvious the beat is very similar as well as the rap style. Fans immediately took notice of this and put Drake on blast for copying the young artist. Lil Uzi Vert was also another name thrown out in the Internet mix that has been copied for Drake’s flow.
for those unfamiliar of XXXTENTACION, a Broward County Florida rapper has gained a huge following in SoundCloud followers and is most likely one of the top, up and coming artists of 2017. Drake’s Twitter account recently followed XXXTENTACION’s Twitter page so fans were aware Drake knew of this young artist.
There have been conspiracy’s about the track’s origin but until the CDQ version is released everyone will have their own opinion. Tell us yours in the comments below.
