VIEWS is officially 4x platinum!

It is easily argued that Drake has been the hottest artist of 2016. On Monday, the RIAA announced that Drake’s fourth studio album, VIEWS, is officially quadruple platinum.

This is Drake’s second album to reach this milestone. Dizzy’s album Take Care also achieved 4 times platinum. It comes as no surprise that VIEWS has reached such heights. VIEWS not only debuted at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 when it was released April 29th, it also stayed there for 13 non-consecutive weeks. The album then went on to go double platinum in June. In August, it became the first 2016 album to reach triple platinum.

VIEWS was also the first ever album to be streamed more than a billion times on Apple Music. Adding to this, it was streamed over 3 billion times on Spotify. This made Drizzy the most streamed artist of all time. VIEWS has received backlash from many critics. However you cannot deny numbers, and this album has got them. This is just another accolade to add to Drake’s strong career.
