Earl Sweatshirt has shown to keep it quite gentle on his most recent singles. No bangers, no hard hitters, just pure lyrics and real talk. That’s how Earl has been making a rep for himself ever since Doris. “Death Whistles” keeps this same touch to display a true lyricist fighting from depression and constant anxiety.
Expressed through his music, Earl Sweatshirt keeps the setting at a low by having some deep lyrics on a harshly, or should I say hardly produced beat. We have yet to see a new project by the lyricist this year, so hopefully we’ll get some brighter content soon.
We love this new styled sound, but we also really want to see Earl rap. Despite this, Earl is clearly a top artist of today, and is expressing himself through wisdom. Until we get a new project from him, stream Death Whistles by Earl Sweatshirt above.
