J.Cole Announces New Album Release Date
J.Cole has been away from Hip-Hop for a little over a year now. after his last album 4 Your Eyez Only dropped in December of 2016, we have heard very little from him. Today, he set the internet on fire by announcing that his new album KOD will arrive this Friday, on 4/20.
Fans were suspicious something from Cole was coming after he collaborated with Royce Da 5’9″ on Boblo Boat, and he did a free verse for the NBA playoffs. Usually Cole doesn’t come out of the shadows unless he is cooking up some fire. Today, Cole took to twitter to send out a tweet that has since been deleted that simply stated “It’s Time.” This made fans go crazy. Shortly after, Cole tweeted about a free event in New York at 6 P.M. that said “No phones, No cameras, No bags, No press list, No guest list, first come first serve.” After the event was over word got out that Cole had given the audience a listen to his new album KOD. He then took to twitter to announce the title and release date for the whole world to know.

This is all we know about the album so far. We don’t know the track titles, how many tracks are on it, or if he’s sticking to his normal formula of no features. All we know, is that a new album is dropping Friday, and for Cole fans that should be enough. Stay tuned for any updates.
