Stream the official version of “Can’t Call It” aka “Jermaine Interlude,” featuring Bas, EarthGang, & J.I.D.
Looks like the backstory from DJ Khaled’s song “Jermaine Interlude” off Major Key, has come to surface. According to reports, the track originally belonged to an ATL collective called Spillage Village, which consists of JB, EarthGang, and J.I.D. Apparently the crew has closed their ties with Dreamville. They ended up recording a song fro Bas, titled “Can’t Call It,” but when J. Cole heard the record he loved it so much he recorded a verse for it. Eventually J. Cole’s cut of the song made it’s way onto DJ Khaled’s LP Major Key, as “Jermaine Interlude.”
Well, after a few months the Spillage crew has decided to share the full 6 minute length version featuring J. Cole, Bas, EarthGang, and J.I.D. This record will also appear on Spillage’s upcoming album Bears Like This To Much. Dropping on December 2nd stay tuned.
