J. Cole is fresh off his end of 2016 project 4 Your Eyez Only. Today J. Cole took to his Soundcloud to drop a surprise track with a black artwork. The track’s name is High For Hours and it does not disappoint in terms of Cole’s signature flow.
The track sounds like a cut that didn’t quite make it to his album of last year. Contrary to the song’s title, the song talks up themes of racial inequality and gaining leverage for the government to do something about it.
The song also brings that casual Cole flow, very similar to what we heard from 4YEO. Cole isn’t one to drop singles, but this is the third single we’ve seen in the past few months. Starting off 2017 with a bang, J. Cole is ready for the rest of the year. Stream High For Hours above.
