Joey Bada$$ drops a new track “Victory” for NBA’s Courtside Project with Mountain Dew.
Joey Bada$$ has a great 2017 ahead of him. As we get ready for the release of his sophomore album AABA, Bada$$ steers away from the album for a moment to drop a new track “Victory: in collaboration with Mountain Dew and their partnership with NBA’s courtside project.
Produced by Kirk Knight & Adam Pallin, “Victory” has a colorful production line and finds the Brooklyn emcee bring back his old flow from his 1999 era. Filled with lots of sound effects the song then dips into a clean beat and Bada$$ delivers that effortless verse.
This track will be one of the few tracks featured on NBA’s Courtside Porject. Joey will perform the track for the first time on All-Star weekend. The Courtside Project will consist of basketball-related hip-hop tracks.
“I’m excited to be a part of The Courtside Project. It’s the fusion of several different worlds — from basketball to music, style and art — that are not all separate streams anymore, they are interconnected. I always want to encourage the youth to be themselves and pursue their dreams, whether those are hoop dreams, Grammy dreams or PhD dreams.”
This makes for Joey’s 2nd release track of 2017 following up Joey’s January track “Land Of The Free,” which you can stream here.
