Check Out The Collectors Edition Of DAMN

Ever since DAMN released in April of this year, there has been theories about the album left and right. Kendrick confirmed one of the fan-theories a few months ago that the album was intended to be played backwards. Today, Kendrick released a collectors edition of DAMN where the tracklist is listed as intended.

It is truly incredible that listening to this album backwards can completely change the whole vibe to it. The story that is being portrayed is much more clear when listening to it in reverse. When K.Dot talked to MTV News about it he had this to say: “Listening to DAMN backward plays as a full story and even a better rhythm. It’s one of my favorite rhythms and tempos within the album.” He says that while the stories and sounds remain the same, the feeling is what changes.
