Kodak Black is back after a very quiet year of music for the troubled artist. Kodak is currently serving a 46 month prison sentence on federal weapons charges, but his team hopes to see him released in 2021. Kodak has been in and out of prison his entire life but still manages to be one of the most streamed artists month in and month out.
Kodak is a big fan of dropping music centered around holidays, dropping his hit single “Halloween” on Oct. 31st back in 2017 and now this love song on Valentine’s Day 2020. This track “Because Of You” features soft, drawn out Kodak melodies spread over a chill, 808 heavy beat. The visuals are more of a montage of Kodak pre-arrest, but fit the song very well nonetheless.
