L.I.F.T. is back hyping up the upcoming Dead Kid$, with a new music video to the self titled track
As we have seen new artists combine multiple genre’s with hip-hop lately, emo, punk, and rock have been some of the most popular to be in appearence lately. With popular artists like Lil Uzi Vert, Trippie Redd, XXXTentacion, and more transitioning the hip-hop genre into a combo of emo/punk hip-hop songs, new upcoming artists are taking the same direction.
L.I.F.T. (Love in Future Times), San Diego’s up and coming punk rock/hip-hop band is now ready for their new debut project Dead Kid$, projected to drop at the top of 2018. Hyping up the project the self titled track on the project now has the visual treatment.
A project that was brewing in San Diego’s underground Punk Rock scene for years, L.I.F.T is comprised of Austin Arthur (vocals), Jamaal Smith (drums), Reuben Pearl (electronics), Holden Prine (Bass) and Robert Carter (guitar).
Spending almost a year in London figuring out their true identity, mixing, and matching their sounds to find that perfect caombination of hip-hop flavored punk music.
In the music video, the visual depicts the various places where they all grew up. Based in San Diego the visual shows the band hanging out a local resturaunt where they were regulars at, a popular pier the band members always went to, as well as the parking lot the members were at when they attended Warp Tour.
According to the members of L.I.F.T, the only reason they are alive today is because of the emotional comfort and sense of belonging they derived from music, as well as the sense of purpose they found by playing in bands.
