Lil Wayne has never heard of the biggest rappers in the game today!
On Tuesday, Lil Wayne held a book signing for his new memoir “Gone ‘Til November.” After the signing, he met with The New York Times. They asked him various questions regarding his book, his various work in hip-hop with other artists, and developing younger artists.
But a funny answer arose when Wayne was asked about some of the hottest artists in the game currently. Lil Wayne was asked if he kept up with artists such as Lil Uzi Vert, 21 Savage, Lil Yachty and Kodak Black, and Wayne had this to say:
“I swear to God I didn’t know you were saying people’s names just now, so that should probably answer that question. I just do my own thing.”
Pretty interesting stuff considering how big the artists mentioned are in todays rap-game. Could this be a hint of jealousy towards the younger artists coming for the throne? Or could Weezy actually have no idea who theses artists are? No one can say for sure, but regardless it is still pretty amusing.
Stay tuned for any other updates regarding Lil Wayne.
