Logic upgraded his Def Jam deal to a whopping $30 mil.
There’s no argument when it comes to Logic’s success in the last 12 months, being one of Def Jam Recordings’ highest seller as an artist. He recently spoke with Zane Lowe for a dope Beats 1 interview at his home, breaking the news on his bank account.
The two talked some numbers, and Logic revealed his new $30 million deal he cut with Def Jam. He’s fresh off the release of Bobby Tarantino 2, his latest commercial mixtape he dropped under Def Jam and VMG. In the tape, he references his deal twice. Once in “Wassup” feat. Big Sean where he says “I just updated my old deal, told Def Jam no less than 20 mill…and they cut that shit!”. He also raps on “State Of Emergency” stating “I just signed a 30 million dollar deal”.
Logic’s prominence as a mainstream rapper doesn’t seem to be dying down anytime soon, and Def Jam certainly has a lasting artist under their belt. He’s also going on The Bobby Tarantino vs. Everybody tour with NF and KYLE, so be sure to peep the dates here.
