Judge Sentences Meek Mill 2-4 Years In Prison

A Philadelphia judge has sentenced Meek Mill 2-4 years in prison. The sentence is coming off of a gun and drug charge that is nearly a decade old. This sentence is following Meek violating his probation.

The violation of his probation came from Meek failing a drug test, and also failing to comply with a court order that restricted his travel. However, the sentence of 2-4 years came as a big surprise. Meek’s lawyer has vowed for an appeal to this sentence.

Recently, JAY-Z made a rare post on his Facebook page to give his thoughts on the sentencing:

“The sentence handed down by the Judge — against the recommendation of the Assistant District Attorney and Probation Officer — is unjust and heavy handed. We will always stand by and support Meek Mill, both as he attempts to right this wrongful sentence and then in returning to his musical career.”

Stay tuned for any details on this.
