Yasiin Bey aka Mos Def releases “December 99th.”

The legendary lyricist Mos Def has promised three albums before his upcoming retirement. Today we received one of them. Today, we receive the long anticipated collaboration with Ferrari Sheppard titled  December 99th.       

The album runs ten songs deep. The majority of the album was recorded in South Africa where Yasiin has been for the past year. It wasn’t until just recently that Bey returned to the United States.

Yasiin Bey has four upcoming shows at The Apollo. One of the shows is tonight. Bey will be performing his last two albums Negus In Natural Person and As Promised. Once the four shows are over, and once both albums are released, Bey’s career will be officially over. Check out one of his last pieces of art below, and stay tuned for updates.
