Nicki Minaj and Trippie Redd take the cake on first week sales projections.

On Friday, fans geared up for a hefty hip hop-release date, bringing two new albums to surface. Nicki Minaj dropped off her fifth studio album Queen whilst Trippie Redd made his studio debut on Life’s A Trip.

Both the Queen and Life’s A Trip first week sales projections are in, and both artists’ fanbases come through. To say the least, Trippie isn’t flopping on this project, regardless of the overwhelming hate from 6ix9ine fans. According to HDD, Trippie is expected to do 66-71k in overall sales, selling 13-15k in pure album sales. Nicki’s Queen projections are looking quite hefty, topping the charts with 135-150k in total activity and 45-55k in pure sales.

Both Trippie and Nicki are still striving on the music end, and we can’t wait to see what they’ve got in store for the rest of 2018. Keep your eyes peeled for new content coming from both parties.
