Lil Baby affiliate and Quality Control signee Lil Marlo is dead.
It’s been some sad times in the hip hop industry. Insensible losses have been at the forefront of great up and comers, stars, and artists across the spectrum. We’re saddened to report another loss in the industry realm, this time its Lil Marlo. TMZ reports that the ATL rapper was shot to death over the weekend, and that law enforcement confirmed with TMZ.
The call came in to law enforcement as a car accident late Saturday night in downtown Atlanta. When police arrived they found Marlo shot at was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation points towards him being shot during him driving. A law enforcement official stated: “At this time, investigators believe the victim was the intended target of the gunfire and they are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.”
In his untimely passing, his music remains high under many people’s thoughts. He dropped a few project with QC including 1st N 3rd and The Real 1. He also made some breakouts on Quality Control: Control The Streets Vol. 1 and 2. Marlo was a young 30 at the time of his passing. Let’s hold our heads high and shine light on what he accomplished in his short time.
