SUMMARY Seem's like the breakthrough period is upon young Cleveland artist Elijah, with the release of the highly anticipated EP "The Introduction." Elijah's trajectory to stardom is certainly started to kick off when popular singles like "Rest" and "Like Me" blew up on Soundcloud, followed by the release of the music video for "Rest" which continues to grow today passing over one million views on Worldstar. The VeryRareRecord's signee uses all types of styles on the new project making every song unique with different messages. "The Introduction" orginally titled "My Emotions" was set to release back in March and was held on to until he announced he would be dropping on May 6th. Also being featured on Akron's Hip Hop station Z88.1 he premired "Struggle" the most powerful song on the project.Continuing to fuel the fire the Cleveland emcee debuted his first single "Fade Away" featuring Jay Trenton, where you can really feel the wheels of Elijah starting to grind. Laced with 5 tracks Elijah starts the EP off with the debut single "Fade Away," the versatility of this track is crazy for such a young emcee. The slow heavy production hits powerful from the start. Jay Trenton delivers the hook as well as a verse to start things off with Elijah then coming in for a verse. Elijah spit's about finding himself and prove his haters wrong. One of the most meaningful tracks on the EP. We then come across "I Ain't Even Seen Him," Elijah's boastful track on his more thug side of his life. He raps about his quest to the money and his enjoyment of being in the game. Elijah goes over minimal trap production with slow vocals. Elijah brings in Tre Wright to deliver a verse on his uptempo "Bodies of the Light." Both go over a heavy production with sirens/shouts to accent the vocals. Further down the tracklist we come across the strongest tracks "Struggle" and "Wanna Be." "Struggle" featuring T Lewis goes over a guitar sample and preaches the challenges he has faced in the making of this project, being "real" and his up coming. "Wanna Be," brings Jay Trenton back for another verse and this track goes hard. The track starts with the desire of being one of the greats and being an icon for the younger generation. Both spit about their changes from being young and naive to wise and successful low bass with piano melody accompany's the dynamic vocals throughout the track both from Elijah and Jay. "The Introduction" was greatly worth the setbacks and delay. Lots of potential packed into only 5 tracks. Each track has a unique sound to them with different production and vocals which really make this EP stand out from any other project. Elijah's diversity to go over any production excites fans to see what is coming next. Stay tuned for the drop of "Struggle" music video this Sunday and more music coming soon.	7.8 OVERALL SCORE
