T.I. Has been one of the most socially active artists in the rap-game today. Specifically, T.I. has been speaking out towards the many racial injustice issues regarding police brutality. Tip’s music has taken a very political turn as of late, and many fans are appreciating his musical influence on the issues. He has intentions of raising awareness for the very many racial issues in the country.
In this new video, we see the Atlanta rapper flipping through channels on the television only to see many protests, and violence against the black community. This is supposed to be a message to the viewer to raise awareness for the hardships against the African-American people.
As for the song itself, T.I. follows up with extremely powerful words on the racial issues. in the track he raps “No, we will not stand here in silence / While they take the lives of our brothers and sisters and partner / We will not turn a blind eye to the murder with no repercussions.” he continues to go on to say “We will not live on our knees, we will die on our feet. This ain’t no lie that I speak, all you youngin’s out here in the streets only want to shoot people who look like you.”
This song has a very powerful message, and it makes the listener open their eyes as to what is really going on in the world today.
