Takeoff of Migos has undoubtedly been shadowed throughout his career from Offset and Quavo, but that’s nothing to undermine the talent of the rapper. Today he comes through with his debut studio album, following that of his peer Quavo, who dropped his debut studio LP a few weeks back.
The project runs 12 tracks in length, with Takeoff remaining at the focal point as he grabs no features. Each track brings a different sound, and Takeoff tests the waters of contemporary R&B and pop whilst still providing true MC verses.
The solo angle being taken paves way for a break from the trio, and we may just be getting an Offset album very soon. Time will tell, but in the meantime chew on Takeoff first solo effort.
