Tay-K’s capital murder trial has begun for the young rapper.
It’s been a minute since we’ve last seen Tay-K hit headlines, but it looks like his ongoing legal troubles are about to really heat up. Today his capital murder trial started, and Tay has plead for all four charges.
According to Star Telegram, Tay-K, whose real name is Taymor McIntyre, plead guilty to two counts of of aggravated robbery in connection to a 2016 robbery that left a 21-year old father dead.
Tay-K has then pleaded not guilty to one count of capital murder alongside a separate count of aggravated robbery in connection to the father’s roommate, who was also shot but survived. One of his defense attorney’s stated “Tay agreed to participate in a robbery. Tay participated in a robbery” in opening statements to the jurors. Tay-K, who was 16 at the time, is now 19 and being tried as an adult. We’ll keep posted as we get more information on the ongoing case.
