Denver based producer Neon Brown has never dwindled on his key control, and it seems with each release, he’s tearing up what it means to be behind the beat. After dropping his collab project The Donner Party with Deca last year, he hits back with a new single in homage to great hip hop. This time he links up with one of his favorite emcees, Vursatyl of Lifesavas.
The two paint a vivid picture of the struggles and idealistic suppression of black America with Vursatyl cleaning the plate on the lyricism. The visuals bring those lyrics to life with flashy effects and a beautifully drawn story of the portrayal of black Americans through history and the mainstream. The track is apart of a two-track Vinyl, serving as the A-Side which includes “The Light Goes Out” feat. Trailer Limon on the B-Side. You can pre-order the vinyl below, which is limited to 200 copies, and will be available April 3rd. With the vinyl’s rollout, we’re also greeted with Neon Brown’s forthcoming instrumental project L’appel de Vide, which drops on the same day.
