Famous Dex fans have been wondering why he wasn’t on the freshman class.
The 2017 XXL Freshman class just dropped the other day, and the internet had an outbreak after not seeing Famous Dex on the cover. Dex recently spoke out on it on Instagram Live:
Editor-in-chief of XXL Vanessa Satten was recently on The Breakfast Club, and she talked a lot on the cover. Many questions were asked, and eventually the topic of Famous Dex came up. Vanessa explains that the omission of Dex from the cover was due to a video of him beating his girlfriend.
Statten there was definitely a “hurdle” to get over, and we may just see Famous Dex on the 2018 issue of the freshman cover. Watch the full video below where Satten talks on the Famous Dex situation:
